Description
VSNL is the principal provider of public telecom services in India, directly and indirectly linking the domestic telecom network to approximately 237 territories worldwide. It provides international telephone, telex and telegraph services and as of March 31, 2002 operated 14 international switching and transmission facilities at ten locations (gateways) which route international traffic to and from the domestic telecom network using a combination of satellite and undersea cable links.
